To take place on the first day of Lunar New Year 2020, the International Chinese New Year Night Parade celebrates the Year of the Rat. The rat is the first of the zodiac animals; it symbolises intelligence and strong vitality in Chinese culture. The Night Parade, held in Tsim Sha Tsui, welcomes Chinese New Year with a festive energy and bears the messages of good luck and good health for the Year of the Rat.
The International Chinese New Year Night Parade has been developing into one of the most anticipated annual events in Hong Kong for 24 years. Featuring fantastic floats and spectacular performances by local and international performing groups, this is the perfect time to enjoy a vibrant New Year celebration! The fabulous floats will be adorned with themes and illuminating decorations to spark the feeling of harmony and bring good luck and happiness to the Chinese New Year. Also, don’t miss the diversified programmes presented by over 2,500 performers, including world-acclaimed troupes and world record holders.
