Your adventures at sea begin here

Fly above deck or ride the waves on board! If you’re travelling at sea with a high-energy crew, you might wonder how to keep everyone occupied, but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here are just some of the exciting activities you’ll want to dive straight into!

Embrace the water

Embrace the water

Whether surfing the waves, or flying down a steep waterslide, there are so many ways to enjoy the water at sea without leaving the ship. Start by grabbing a surf board to feel the exhilaration from 30,000 gallons of water rushing at you as you ride waves of the FlowRider® Surf Simulator , which ensures that the surf’s always up, even on a steady cruise ship. But don’t think it’s going to be easy — come prepared to enjoy the thrill of being repeatedly washed away as you perfect your technique. If you enjoy that feeling of moving with the fast flowing water, you’ll want to make sure you hit the waterslide park, where you’ll find easy-going chutes for families and heart-racing inclines for daredevils. Tower above the ocean at the top of a steep slide and feel the rush as you plunge down at high speed! Then get back up there and do it all again!

Fly through the air

Ready to dry off but want to keep the adrenaline pumping? Head straight for RipCord® by iFLY®  to experience the first indoor skydiving on a cruise ship! Feel the thrill of flying with a wind tunnel that lets you soar in a safe environment with an experienced instructor. If you like heights but prefer to navigate them at your own pace, climb dozens of feet above deck on the rock climbing wall, where everyone from beginners to speed climbers can strap in and go vertical. It might take a bit for effort to get to the top, but the view alone is worth every step.

Stay grounded

Stay grounded

If some of your adventure-seeking crew are not quite daring enough for the reality of skydiving, then some virtual reality (VR) fun could be the perfect alternative. Feel a different kind of adrenaline rush with cutting-edge VR technology that transports you into worlds and realities you never even knew existed. And for those that enjoy the water but not the waves, prepare for an awesome pool party where it’s the drinks that will be flowing! As the stars come out, the party heats up on the pool deck with the DJ spinning club anthems and dance classics that will keep you dancing all night and feeling glad you can sleep as late as you like in the morning!

Big Buddha

Adventures in Hong Kong

The excitement doesn’t end when you reach dry land. As you dock in Hong Kong, hop off the boat and onto a cliff-top rollercoaster at Ocean Park Hong Kong to once again feel the rushing sensation of flight as you overlook the sea. If you’re ready for a gentler journey through the air but still want sea views, board a cable car at Lantau Island’s Ngong Ping 360 and glide up to the famous Big Buddha. To optimise views — and feel a bit of an adrenaline rush again — opt for a glass-bottomed crystal cabin.

Water Sports

Open water, stunning hikes and happy Wednesdays

For those that miss being in the water, head to one of Hong Kong’s many outlying islands where plenty of water sports await. If you feel like a surfing pro after all those hours on the FlowRider® then this is the perfect time to test your skills in the open ocean; see if you can master windsurfing and kiteboarding as well. Still got energy to burn? Challenge yourself with one of our more difficult hikes and you’ll be rewarded with some of the most spectacular views. Or if you’re seeking a more urban adventure, head to Happy Valley Racecourse for a horse racing experience like no other. Stand track-side surrounded by high rise buildings to cheer on your favourite horse as you find yourself part of the Happy Wednesdays crowd that have come out to enjoy the party, complete with themed food, drinks and live entertainment (race season runs from September to July). Whether you’ve got an extra weekend, a full week or more — you won’t be short of memorable adventures in Hong Kong.
