This Mid-Autumn Festival, Lee Tung Avenue presents the ‘Moon Fest Lumiere’ on the 200-metres-long, tree-lined pedestrian walkway with over 800 auspicious lanterns, including designs like the Jade Rabbit and goldfish for the first time. The ‘LED Fire Dragon Fiesta’ is also making a comeback so visitors can get up close to the glowing dragon and experience this unique rendition of the intangible cultural heritage.

Great Music 2023 gathers renowned musicians and ensembles from all over the world in Hong Kong. They will perform an array of exciting and diversified music programmes, including Warabe performed by Japanese leading taiko drumming troupe Kodo; two concerts starring national-level orchestra, China Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra. American male a cappella group Naturally 7 will showcase their mastery of vocal performance, while cellist Yo-Yo Ma and pianist Kathryn Stott will play in a duo recital together.

Every Wednesday, members of the public and visitors can enjoy free admission to Happy Valley Racecourse’s Public Enclosure for an evening of fabulous fun and excitement. Enjoy the trackside thrill of Hong Kong’s world-class horse racing, as well as an array of thematic entertainment and gourmet delicacies from the food trucks on-site.

The Avenue of Stars pays homage to Hong Kong’s film scene, with names of the industry’s brightest stars inscribed on commemorative plaques along the harbourside walkway. Co-organised with K11 MUSEA, Hong Kong’s first cultural waterfront market is a nostalgic tribute to the spirit of Hong Kong cinema, lined with nearly 30 market booths, offering a range of street delicacies and live performances of classic films’ theme songs.

The Waterfront Carnival is the first nostalgic night carnival taking place at the Wan Chai harbourfront area. Blending elements of Hong Kong culture, art, music and technology, the event comprises classic Hong Kong street food, music and dance performances, film screenings, special workshops and art exhibitions, as well as stalls selling different products, snacks and drinks.

Three limited-edition night programmes by the LCSD, including ‘Movie Date at the Museum’, ‘Science Fun Night’ and ‘Starry Wonderland’, will take place at the Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong Science Museum and Hong Kong Space Museum respectively every Saturday evening. The three museums are also extending their opening hours on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Freespace Jazz Fest returns for its fifth and largest edition. The festival features over 500 local and international top musicians in indoor and outdoor music programmes and a series of free programmes, workshops, food and beverage offerings and weekend market in the West Kowloon Cultural District, connecting music fans through diverse jazz music and audience experiences.
