Top 6 outlet malls in Hong Kong

Time Out Hong Kong
  • Written by Time Out Hong Kong
Hong Kong's Best Outlet Malls

Hong Kong is well known for being a shopper’s paradise, but it’s not all just high-end department stores and street markets. There are a number of outlet malls offering deals that let you look good without hurting your savings. Want to give your wallet a break? Read on! 1234

Florentia Village

Florentia Village

With outlet malls already in five Chinese cities, Florentia Village is now open here in Kwai Chung, next to the MTR Kwai Hing Station. Inspired by Florence, the birthplace of so many iconic Italian luxury brands, expect to see brands like Armani, Salvatore Ferragamo, Kenzo and Versace. Unfortunately—or rather, thankfully—the Hong Kong outpost has foregone the artificial and tacky replication of the Italian city for its interior.

Citygate Outlets

Citygate Outlets

Citygate Outlets is within easy reach of MTR Tung Chung Station and just 10 minutes away from Hong Kong International Airport. There are over 150 international brands offering up to 90 percent discounts on original prices. Bargain hunt for high-end brands like Burberry and Versace and high-street labels such as Levi’s and Vans. There are also over 40 international dining options and the nearby Novotel Citygate Hotel is perfect for an overnight sojourn.

Horizon Plaza

Horizon Plaza

Horizon Plaza in Ap Lei Chau is unlike your ordinary outlet mall. We suggest starting from the 25th floor and work your way down, tackling the formidable number of shops (100, to be precise). Thanks to its substantial space—a true rarity in Hong Kong, Horizon Plaza features an extensive selection of homeware and furniture stores and showrooms, including Ovohome, Phoenix Curtains and the Lane Crawford Warehouse among others. There’s even Sift cupcakes for afternoon refuelling.

Kwun Tong Factory Outlets

Kwun Tong Factory Outlets

Though certainly not as glamorous as some of Hong Kong's more prestigious malls, this no-frills outlet shopping street in Kwun Tong is the go-to spot for sports apparel, footwear and casual clothes. Kwun Tong Factory Outletsare is a quick walk from the MTR Kwun Tong Station and like most outlets, the small stretch of outlet stores are located in an industrial area. You can be sure to find cheap deals on major brands like Initial, New Balance, Adidas, Nike and Converse, once you've managed to dig through rows and rows of shoeboxes.

Sneaker Street

Sneakers Street

Though not technically an outlet mall, Sneaker Street is the place to go for shoes, shoes and more shoes. Located in Mong Kok’s Fa Yun Street right next to the renowned Ladies' Market, this stretch of sneaker shops has been in operation since the 1980s. You’ll find everything on this lane, whether it’s the newest Nike kicks or a pair of Converse wedged sneakers. Prices can vary from bargain to expensive, so watch out!

China Hong Kong City

China Hong Kong City

If you want to avoid the crazy crowds at Harbour City but still want to take advantage of all the shopping opportunities in Tsim Sha Tsui, China Hong Kong City is here to save the day.  Home to all sorts of local and international brands including outlet stores such as LONGINES, CASIO, ISA, Catalog, Geox, Mirabell, you can enjoy up to 70 percent discounts all year round. Nearby, you’ll find Royal Pacific Hotel as well as the China Ferry Terminal, providing ferry services to Macao and the Mainland.
