Location, location, location — Hong Kong has it good! Within easy reach of the city are some of China’s most fascinating destinations. Hong Kong is part of the Greater Bay Area, along with Macao and nine municipalities in southern China’s Guangdong Province, namely Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing. The area possesses the most extensive cluster of ports and airports in the world and Hong Kong, together with the other Greater Bay Area cities, can jointly offer diversified travel experiences.

Hong Kong

Hong Kong, as a cosmopolitan city with diversified culture and world class attractions, often surprises visitors with its abundant countryside, and is an ideal hub for multi-destination travel.

Macao

Seamlessly blending Portuguese and Chinese culture, Macao is a city of both unique charm and modern luxury, exemplified by the UNESCO status of its historic centre and its sleek resorts, malls and entertainment venues.

Guangzhou

A bastion of China’s Lingnan (southern) culture, Guangzhou has over 2,000 years of history. Known as the ‘Flower City’ and ‘City of Rams’, it’s also one of the country’s most dynamic cities.

Shenzhen

Shenzhen’s pleasant climate and picturesque coastal and mountain scenery have turned it into an attractive travel destination. Located adjacent to Hong Kong Shenzhen is China’s first Special Economic Zone.

Zhuhai

Zhuhai borders Macao by land and looks upon Hong Kong across the sea. Connected by the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Zhuhai also features stunning coastlines, peaceful islands, tranquil suburbs and vast greenery.

Foshan

Known as the hometown of ceramic art, Cantonese opera and martial arts, Foshan is a historical and energetic city. The third largest city in Guangdong province, it is a modern tourism destination.

Huizhou

Huizhou is well known for its mountains, hills and valleys, particularly in the north and east. The south is home to a long, meandering coastline, offering visitors plenty of charming scenic spots to explore.

Dongguan

Dongguan is known as ‘the world’s factory’, drawing business from around the globe, but in recent years has also become a hotspot for leisure travellers seeking romantic sea views and scenic spots full of history.

Zhongshan

Zhongshan is the hometown of Dr Sun Yat-sen, considered one of 20th-century China’s greatest citizens. Here, you can learn more about the life and work of Dr Sun and his contributions to Chinese history.

Jiangmen

Jiangmen is home to cultural treasures such as the UNESCO World Heritage Kaiping Diaolou and Villages. It is also the hometown of emigrants, now in over a hundred countries worldwide.

Zhaoqing

Zhaoqing has abundant scenery. In the city proper are the picturesque Seven Star Crags, reflected in the waters of Star Lake. Mist shrouds the lake during the cooler months, adding to the tranquil ambience of the mountain scenery.

Hong Kong - Zhuhai - Macao Bridge

First envisaged in the 1980s, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) finally came to fruition in 2018, vastly improving connectivity between the cities in the Greater Bay Area.

Hong Kong-Mainland high-speed rail

Running from West Kowloon in Hong Kong to Shenzhen and Guangzhou in Mainland, the rail link offers a super-fast connection to multiple destinations.
