Huizhou
Huizhou is well known for its mountains, hills and valleys, particularly in the north and east. The southern part of the city is home to a long, meandering coastline. These beautiful natural wonders offer visitors plenty of charming scenic spots to explore.
Huizhou West Lake
Huizhou West Lake boasts five picturesque lakes, six bridges, and 18 scenic spots. It is surrounded by green hills and dotted with quaint pavilions. A perfect combination of natural beauty and cultural heritage, it is the most representative historical landmark of Huizhou.
Nankun Mountain National Forest Park
Tiantang (translates to ‘paradise’) Peak, the major peak of Nankun Mountain, stands 1,210 metres above sea level. A visit in March will lead you to a beautiful sea of blossoming azaleas. If you choose to visit in summer, expect a cool, enjoyable trip despite temperatures reaching over 30°C, as pleasant breezes blow through the mountains and keep you comfortable. If you have time, a hot spring bath and some authentic Nankun Mountain tea are also highly recommended.
Luofu Mountain
Also known as Dongqiao Mountain, Luofu Mountain boasts spectacular landscapes and marvellous vistas. Its main peak, Feiyun Peak, is famed for breathtaking sunrises and panoramic views. You may also visit the Chongxu Ancient Temple, which is widely regarded as one of the top 10 ancient temples in China, and pray for good fortune like thousands of disciples do every year. After the visit, experience a homestay and enjoy some authentic local dishes.
